Bringing the Railways back to East Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway has reopened a short section of the original East Lincolnshire main line between Ludborough and North Thoresby. With ambitions to extend the track 5 miles into Louth, the society, which is run by volunteers, is striving to raise the huge sums needed to reinstate the track, signals and infrastructure needed. You can help Lincolnshire Wolds Railway! By attending ELR50 events, visiting the railway or donating on their website you can help to support the project.

"We've just celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first train to go to North Thoresby. Our mission now is to extend the line southwards towards Louth"
